I guess you have been wondering what I’ve been up
to. . . . Here's the news:
Kim is
taking a moment to augment the important cause of education by
performing for the student body at Meeting Street School; the
first in the new building!
Kim is available
for other educational performances and instructional
opportunities. Currently she is the Artist in Residence at
CVS Highlander; teaching students music from Kindergarten
through Fourth grade. As well, she has an after- school guitar
program at Henry Barnard School.

Kim's "Katrina" song has been
used in the radio documentary, "The
Great Equalizer? Hurricane Katrina in Mississippi ," by
Jennifer Gold ’06 and Sarah Modiano ’06 on the experience of two
Catholic parishes, one predominantly white and one predominantly
black, unexpectedly brought together by the tragedy of Hurricane
Katrina.
Kim's current CD "Sweet Novena" will soon be available
through Neoga
Records. Also, Kim is in the planning stages of her Jazz CD
with Joe Parillo, which will also be available at
Neoga Records.

Vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist Kim Trusty
was born and raised in Media, PA, a small town 15 miles outside
Philadelphia. After attending Berklee College of Music, Kim
moved to Providence, RI, where she currently lives. Kim Trusty
has made an indelible imprint on the music scene, having opened
for Paula Cole, Taj Mahal, Koko Taylor, Rick Danko and Richie
Havens. Kim's music is a highly textured blend of jazz, pop,
R&B, and improvisation. |
